BRIDGE PARTY.

Mrs M. J. Burns Honoured.

At her home in Iloon Hay last evening Mrs Gerrit van Asch entertained at a novel party in honour of Mrs M. J. Burns, who will leave Christchurch shortly to join her husband in Hawera. Each guest was asked to represent a film star, the result being a most amusing and cheerful party indeed. The reception rooms were decorated with pink camellias, mauve iris and bowls of mixed flowers. The guests were:—Mrs Burns, Mrs It 11. Livingstone, Mrs R. C. Jamieson, Mrs W. A. C. McDonald, Mrs C. L. MeredithKaye, Mrs W. M. Cotter, Mrs J. Jamieson, Mrs Reg Triggs, Mrs Erie Beaven, Mrs Shirley Wright and Miss Hazel Evans.
