N.Z. HARRIER TEAM.
Will Go to Australia in August. (Special to the “ Star.”) DUNEDIN. This Day. Advice has been received that the administration committee of the New Zealand Council has decided to appoint Messrs B. R. McKernan (Dunedin) and C. 11. Croker (New Plymouth) as selectors of the New Zealand harrier team to compete in the Australian cross-country championship. The team will leave tor Australia on August 6 or 9. Mr McKernan, who has also been nominated as manager of the team, is one of the best known men associated with amateur athletics and harrier running in the Dominion and has had a long connection with both sports as a competitor, official and coach. Mr Croker, also an exOtago man, won a cross-country championship some years ago.
