SUNDAY SCHOOL SOCIAL.
The annual social for the girls of the Central Brighton Methodist Sunday School was held in the school hall on Saturday. The organising committee consisted of Mesdames A. E. Lawry, R. Pepperell, Misses E. Buxton, K. Instone and E. Diehl (secretary). The evening was spent in games, competitions and Items, and supper was served by the committee. The superintendent (Mr A. E. Lawry) welcomed the scholars and congratulated them on their loyalty to the school, and also acted as M.C. Those present were: Doris Inns. Dorothy Cant, Joan Chapman, Marie Nelson, Y'olande Smith, Jean Gibb, Joyce Nankiveil. Marjorie Jones, Marie Legroe. Olive Xankivell, Betty Cant, Nancy Carmalt, Kathleen Carmalt. Pbyll.s Hastings, Merle Hastings. Joan Clarke. Doris Clarke. Fay Miller. Doreen Joe, Audrey Joe. Xola Cant, Noelene Hale, Noelene Nelson, Avril Penny. June Bergstrom. Nita Craw, Betty Gibb, Peggy Webley and Dulcie Edwards.
