Remarkable Machine Under Construction. / LOW PETROL CONSUMPTION. United Press Assn.—By Telegraph— Copyright. (Received June 24, 12.45-p.m.) BRISBANE, This Day. Australia’s smallest aeroplane is being constructed under a house in the suburb of Clay field. The ’plane, which is only ten feet long, is a singleseater low-wing monoplane, and has a wing span of 20 feet. It will derive its power from a motor-cycle engine, and is expected to give a top speed of 100 miles an hour, with a radius of 300 miles on a petrol consumption of 1} gallons an hour. When assembled the ’plane will weigh about 3501 b. Its designer and builder is Mr N. Lynch, a young New South Wales aviator.
