LATE MRS A. E. BLUNDELL.

Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, June 4. The death occurred to-day of Mrs Annie Elizabeth Blundell, widow of the late Mr Louis Proctor Blundell, in her seventy-ninth year. Mrs Blundell, who was a daughter of the late Captain Coker, of Christchurch, had lived in Wellington since 1879, when she was married to the late Mr Louis Blundell, one of the founders of the “Evening Post,” who died last November. She leaves two sons, Mr John Louis Blundell, who is engaged in farming, and Mr Leonard Coker Blundell, a director of the “Post,” and one daughter, Mrs Noel Nelson. Mrs Blundell took an active interest in the affairs of the city. She was connected with the St John Ambulance Association and during the war period greatly assisted in the work performed by the Victoria League and the Red Cross, receiving the decoration of M.B.E. from his Majesty in recognition of her services. She joined with her husband in presenting the largest bell (Reo Wairua) to the National War Memorial. The late Mrs Blundell was a generous helper of charitable and benevolent organisations.
