EXPELLED FROM UNION.
Seaman Claims Damages and Reinstatement. In the Supreme Court, before the Chief Justice (Sir Michael Myers) Louglas Gibson, a seaman, who was expelled from the union, is seeking a declaration that be is a member of the union, and an injunction restraining t’ie union from excluding or purporting to exclude him, and £IOO wages lost. The union’s defence is that the ex- ' pulsion was legal and a further defence is. that plaintiff and others caused shipping trouble at Greymouth last year by giving erroneous and misleading information to seamen there.
