Vital statistics for Greymouth for May, 1935, with the figures for May, 1934, shown in parentheses. are: — Births, 28 (17); deaths. 10 (11); marriage notices issued (5); marriages conducted by the registrar, 2 (L). The total collections by the Greymouth during May. .twenty vessels £10,059 5s lid compared with £7571 11s 2d in May, 1934. including Customs duties £3726 is lOd (£2427 10s 10d); and sales tax. £1750 10s 5d (£1328 5s sd>. » Twenty-two vessels of a net tonnags of 11.153 tons entered the port of Greymouth Customs Office last month were: aggregating 9865 tons sailing during the month. In May there were 23 inward vessels of 13.695 tons and 24 out. ward vessels of 14.665 tons.
