HEAVY LOSS BY FIRE.

Little River Resident’s Misfortune. Heavy loss was suffered by Mrs 11. E. Yanstone, sen., in a recent fire at Mount Pleasant, Puaha, Little River. Mrs Vanstone’s seven-roomed dwelling was burned to the ground and the contents were destroyed. The contents lost included furniture, a valuable piano, oil paintings and relics that cannot be replaced. There was a small insurance of £325 on the dwelling and furniture. In addition, Mrs Yanstone lost £ISOO worth cf cocksfoot seed. Miss Yanstone was also a heavy loser, for thirty bags of cocksfoot seed of her own, valued at £4 a sack, were lost in the fire.
