EXCELLENT COMEDY.

“ He Walked in Her Sleep ” at St James. There are some plays that possess the fortunate characteristic of proceeding inevitably from situation to situation of come *y, and it adds zest to the entertainment rather than mars it that the audience is able to anticipate it. Of such a character is “He Walked in Her Sleep,” the farce now being presented at St James Theatre by Mr Harold G. Hobday and his company. The action of this comical conception gets early into its stride, and there is created in the first act a position which keys the audience up to the highest pitch of expectancy. Mr Hobday, the producer and the principal character, brings to his role a background of wide experience in more important centres in the world.
