“MUSIC IN THE AIR.”
Gloria Swanson Starred in Brilliant Production. Jerome Kern’s fascinating music, the glorious singing of John Boles, and the return of Gloria Swanson to the screen—these are features of the brilliant production, “ Music in the Air,” now showing at the Regent Theatre. “ Music in the Air ” is one of the first real operettas to be presented on the screen, but in addition to its lilting melodies, it contains hilarious ipomedy situations and a gay romance, which have been skilfully blended into delightful entertainment. The film was adapted from the popular C. B. Cochran stage show, and the wellknown songs, " I’ve Told Every Little Star,” and “ One More Dance,” would in themselves make it an outstanding production. But besides these songs, these are some dance numbers staged with all the brilliance of which Hollywood is capable, magnificent settings, and several scenes which rank as almost the wittiest and funniest ever brought to the screen. The supporting programme is an excellent one.
