Accounts of N.Z. Perpetual Forests. (Special to the “Star.”) AUCKLAND, This Day. A net profit of £17,343 was earned by New Zealand Perpetual Forests, Ltd., during the year ended March 31. This compares with £24,308 for the previous twelve months. The balance brought forward from last year, after deducting dividend paid, was £13,739, which, with this year’s profit, gives a total of £31,082. From this an interim dividend of 4 per cent paid in November absorbed £7901, leaving available for appropriation £23,181. From this the directors recommend payment of a final dividend of 4 per cent, making 8 per cent for the year and leaving £15,279 to be carried forward. LAMB PRICES UP. Export Schedule Raised by Halfpenny. The export buying schedule for fat lambs will be raised from to-morrow by 3d per lb in the case of prime first grade, and by 3d per lb for seconds. The buying limits for ewes and withers are unchanged. Following is the new schedule:— Lambs—Firsts, 63d lb; seconds, 6d lb. Wethers—Under 481 b, 4*d per lb; 49-561 b, 43d; 57-641 b, 33d; 65-721 b, 3§d; over 721 b, 33d; seconds, 33d. Ewes—Under 481 b, 2|d per lb; 49561 b, 23d; 57-641 b, 23d; 65-721 b, 23d; over 721 b, lid. COMPANY AFFAIRS. W. and R. Fletcher (N.Z.), Ltd. The head office of W. and R. Fletcher, Ltd., managing; agents for the Westfield Freezing Company, Ltd., is being transferred from Auckland to Wellington to-day. Mr R. I). Rogers is going to Wellington, and will be associated in the management of the business there with Mr A. Rowlands, who has been in London in *recent years. Wellington Deposit Co. The directors of the Wellington Deposit, Mortgage and Building Association, Ltd., report for the year ended March 31 last that the net profit on the year’s business was £OOO, which, with the acfdition of £1125 brought forward from last year, made a total of £2026. Bad debts amounting to £234 had been written off, and provision made for doubtful debts, £1283.
