By Lackham, Fulojoy is the only one of the progeny of her dam, Joybird, to live. The fir£t mate of Joybird was Whirlwind to whom she produced dead twins in 1931. Fulojoy arrived in 1932 and the next year a foal to Lackham died. Joybird was not served in 1933. She is by Argosy (son of Bachelor’s Double) from the Limond mare Almond. Fulojoy was successful in January at the Wairatapa meeting and in the Fitzherbert Handicap at Trentham. GAY CREST. T. Frequent showers interfered with operations and there was a shortage of light-weight riders so that the proceedings were not of great interest. Rebel Star and Royal Gallant ran six furlongs in lmin 18 2-osec. M’Heath did an easy six furlongs, taking lmin 24sec. Polydora beat Sam Smith over six furlongs in lmin 15 4-osec. Theatin and Elloughton ran five furlongs in lmin 4 2-ssec. Lady Zephyr got over six furlongs in lmin 20 l-ssec. Cape Gabo and Fleeting Glance sprinted home three furlongs in 38sec. Cleaner and Red Dance went six furlongs in lmin 18 4-ssec. a performance equalled by Tuirau and CourtLatitude and Nardoo were lmin 6 4-ssec in running five furlongs. Joyous.
