Registrations for Ten Months

in Christchurch.

The number of licenses issued at the Chief Post Office to owners of motor vehicles for the ten months ended February 28 last was only fifteen short of those issued in the twelve months of the 1933-34 licensing period. For the ten months of the 1934-35 period, 15,080 licenses were issued, whereas in 1933-34 they numbered 15,095 and in 1932-33, 15,645. The registrations for each month of the present licensing year are as follows, the figures for 1933-34 being given in parentheses: May, 1934, 8049 (7611), June 2126 (2333), July 638 (640), August 673 (653), September 702 (747), October 776 (812), November 685 ( 560), December 914 (889), January. (1935), 275 (204), and February 242 (248).
