Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, March 5. TN VIEW of the number of able-bodied men who are reported to be in receipt of sustenance, the Auckland Metropolitan Unemployment Relief Committee has decided to suggest to the Unemployment Board that a vigorous effort be made to have these men placed in employment on constructive work. Details of the arrangement between the Auckland Master Bakers’ Association and the Alliance of Labour by which a concession in the market price of bread will be made to relief workers were reported to the committee. Under this scheme bona fide relief workers will be able to obtain a ‘standard 21b loaf through any baker in Auckland at 4id delivered. A sum of £3O was required to finance the scheme for the first week, and the committee decided to make an advance of this amount.
