NEW PETROL ENGINE.
Revolution in Design in America. NEW YORK, February 22. It is announced that a new petrol engine has been secretly built under the auspices of the United States War Department which has revolutionaryfeatures. 11 is claimed that it is vastly superior to the engine of Sir Malcolm Campbell’s Blue Bird and weighs only a fraction of its weight. It is so flat that it can be fitted inside the wing of an aeroplane, and is only three feet long. Yet it has twelve cylinders and develops nearly 2000 horse-power.
