FLOWER SHOW.
Third Annual Fixture at Fendalton. The third anmnil Fendalton flower show was held In the St Barnabas schoolroom to-day. Th«* dry spell resulted in entries being 430 ?s against 530 last year. The main decrease was in the gladioli section. These flowers bloomed much earlier than usual. The decorated bowls and vases were outstanding. The show was opened by Mrs F. M. Warren, and will continue this evening and to-morrow. The proceeds are in aid of the Home Mission Funds. The judges were:—Gladioli, dahlias, cut flowers, fruit and vegetables, Messrs H. L. Darton and M. J. Barnett; cookery, Miss Rennie; needlework, Mrs M. E. Lyons; children’s drawings, Mr H. F. Penlington; decorative, Mrs E. L. King and Mrs Arthi*r Stewart.
