Nations Differ.

Dear Sir, —I think your correspondents are taking “ En-Zedder ” and his tirade against Englishmen too seriously. The opinion he expressed is the hallmark of a narrow-minded man. It takes more than a voyage from the British Isles to make a cosmopolitan. The risk of continuing a controversy with a person so dense is that it. is “ a nugget to a pinch of snuff ” that he is preening himself that he has captured a little publicity, and doubtless has eagerly drawn his mates’ attention to the fact. Had he travelled sufficiently he would have learnt that nations differ in language and temperament, but fundamentally the cardinal characters of good and bad are akin.—l am, etc., ENGLISHMAN.
