PRESS CONFERENCE.

Delegates Assemble at Rotorua. Per Press Association. ROTORUA. February 18. Delegates to the annual Press Conference have begun to assemble at Rotorua, and proceedings are to open On Tuesday. Delegates now in Rotorua include: —Sir Cecil Leys (New Zealand Newspapers, Ltd.), Messrs Henry Horton and Ron Horton (“ New Zealand Herald”), Mr J. Coombe (“ Manawatu Standard”), Mr R. H. Billens (‘‘Manawatu Times”), Mr C. W. Earle (“Dominion,” Wellington), Messrs W. J. Blundell and Ernest Blundell (“ Evening Post,” Wellington), Mr R. 3. Bell (“ Ashburton Guardian”), Mr A. M. Burns C‘ Press,” Christchurch), Mr H. E. Bell (“ Times ” and “ Star,” Christchurch), Mr E. C. Iluie (“Sun,” Christchurch), Mr W. Easton (“Otago Daily Times ”), Mr C. Stanley Smith (“ Evening Star,” Dunedin), Mr W. Bisset (“ Southland Times,” Invercargill), Mr E. Abbey Jorres (“ Daily Nejvs.” InverCargill ) t Mr Len Muir (“ Herald,” Gisborne), Messrs E. G. Kerr and A. J. Allport (“Herald,” Timaru), Mr A. B. Lane (manager of the United Press Association). Advertising and commercial firms connected with the business side of the newspaper industry are well represented, and it is expected that the conferwhich will continue till Friday, will be a successful one. A number of delegates are expected to arrive to-morrow.
