HONOUR FOR FLYERS

Funeral of Air Crash Victims. (Received February 19. 2.30 p.m.) MALTA, February 18. Fifty thousand gathered on the quay to honour the L T nion Jack-covered coffins of the nine Air Force members who were killed in the crash in Sicily. The coffins departed from Palermo amid a salute of guns from Italian warships. The cortege from Durban to the naval cemetery included detachments of Navy marines, the Army and Air Force. Volleys were fired over the graves and the Last Post and Reveille sounded, after which high officers representing the Services filed past and saluted.
