STEAMERS DELAYED.
Strong Southerly Wind Encountered. The Rangatira arrived at Lyttelton at 7.5 o’clock on Saturday morning instead of at 6.40 o’clock owing to the vessel encountering strong south-west weather on the run from Wellington. The Wahine berthed at seven o’clock yesterday morning, while the Omana. from Auckland, which was due at Lyttelton at eight o’clock on Saturdaynight, was three hours late in arriving’. Conditions improved yesterday.
