POPULAR CARNIVAL.

Swimming Events at Beckenham. The recent night carnival held in the Beckenham baths proved the popularity of the installation of lights for night bathing, as a large crowd of residents gathered to enjoy the programme. The events were keenly contested. Amusement was caused by Miss M’Wackle, who gave exhibitions of how not to dive and swim. These exhibitions were greatly applauded.
