A group of Dutch importers, anxious to barter produce for woollen manufactures beyond the quota limits, have offered to ;*vake over £IOO,OOO worth of British fabrics if Britain agrees to accept an equal amount of Dutch produce. The West Riding Chamber of Commerce is approaching the Board of Trade and Minister of Agritulture. The “Yorkshire Observer,” emphasises the growth of barter despite its additional costs, obviously giving an advantage to many individual traders.
