COURSING CLUB.
The annual meeting of the Christchurch Coursing Club was held on Wednesday night. The president (Mr D. Case) was in the chair. The balancesheet showed a small credit balance. The president in his report stated that a determined effort was to be made to stabilise the sport this season and he asked for co-operation, it was decided to open the season on April 27. The election of officers resulted as follows: President, Mr D. Cave; vice-presidents, Messrs G. Exton, W. Thiele. J. M. Coffey, P. Ruddy, A. Muir, B. Rennell, Bram Lee, S. Hollander and J. M’Millan;
honorary veterinary surgeon, Mr H. S. S. Kyle, M.P.; delegate to National Coursing Association. Mr E. O. Price: honorary judges. Messrs E. Russell and B. Sowden; honorary slipper, Mr J. W. Fox; honorary secretary. Mr D. Cave; honorary treasurer. Mr A. Muir; committee. Messrs V. Neale, F. Horwell. N, Muir. J. C. Smith. P. Ruddy, A. Mull and G. Exton.
