A MYSTERY PICNIC.
Over 200 persons attended the second annual mystery picnic arranged by the North Linwood Burgesses’ Association, and spent an enjoyable day on Mr George Gould’s farm at Coutts Island. During the afternoon a hearty welcome was accorded by the president (Mr S. Butterfield) to the Mayor and Mayoress (Mr and Mrs D. G. Sullivan) and thanks were extended to Mr and’ Mrs Fox, managers of the farm, for the generous help they gave to make the picnic a real success. The following were successful in the 1 sports events held in the afternoon: Single woman: Miss N. Fair weather 1 Miss K. Sullivan 2. Single men: Mr Dawson 1, Mrs G. Bight foot 2.
