Civil Servants Stationed at Canberra. (Special to the «• Star.**) DUNEDIN, This Day. If the Australian Government decided to abandon 'Canberra as the Federal * capital and to transfer the staffs to Melbourne or Sydney half the servants would be killed in the rush to get away. That was the opinion given to Mr W. 11. Shepherd, a member of the Dunedin City Council, by some of the many disgruntled residents of the amazing capital, which was faced with disaster, during his recent visit to Canberra. To the outsider, added Mr Shepherd, it did definitely seem that the building of the Federal city away in the backblocks of Australia was nothing short of a disaster., ,
