N.S.W. Tennis Association Rejects Proposal. NORMAN BROOKES'S MOTION. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received February 13, 1 p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The New South Wales Lawn Tennis Association, on the casting vote of the chairman, expressed opposition to open tournaments, in which amateur and professional players compete. A Melbourne message says that at the Yictorian Tennis Association meeting Norman Brookes urged in the interests of tennis generally that there should be at least one open contest in each of the leading countries of the world.
