WEAK CONDITION.
London Exchange Prices Fall. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received February 13, 1.10 p.m.) LONDON, February 12. Stock markets continued in a weak condition to-day and further falls occurred, particularly in British Government securities, War Loan 3£ per cent being marked down to £lO5 15s. This weakness of markets is attributed to reports, since emphatically denied by Mr Baldwin, of an early general election, and to the depressing influence of recent losses by commodity brokers involved in the pepper dealings. Government securities are particularly susceptible at the present moment, owing to the high prices at which they stand after the steady rise throughout the last three years. COMPANY AFFAIRS.
