STANMORE ROAD
To Be Put in Order Before Winter. An assurance that Stanmore Road would be put into good order before the winter was given this morning bv the. general manager of the Christchurch Tramway Board (Mr F. Thompson) when complaints about the present surface of the road were referred to him. Mr Thompson said that the board and the Cit\' Council were in communication concerning the manner in which the work was to be done. Trolley buses were put on the Richmond line, which travels along Stanmore Road, earh' in December, but the tram tracks have not been removed, and a decision on the question has not 3*et been made.
