MR G. G. HOLMES
Many Attend Funeral at Halswell. The funeral of Mr George Gordon Holmes took place at the Halsweli churchyard on Saturday morning. The large procession, which left the residence, “ Knocklynn,” and a number of beautiful wreaths testified to Mr Holmes's popularity. The services, in the Hals well Anglican Church and at the graveside, were conducted by the Rev Canon 11. Williams. The chief mourners were his widow, Mr Gordon lb nes (son', Mr J. A. Holmes (brother), MYs R. PL Procter and Mrs A. M’Masters (sisters*, Mrs C. Paterson (daughter), Miss B. Procter (niece) and Messrs J. L. Holmes and S. L. Holmes (nephews). The pallbearers were Messrs 11. Kearns, W. Kearns, 11. Nurse, J. Pike. C. Pike and C. Payne. Those who attended the funeral included the following: Messrs E. C. M'Dermott, J. Doyle, Walter Baker, J.
