The twenty-fifth annual meeting of the Empire Press Union coincided with the actual day of its foundation. Sir Harry Brittain pointed out that he and Mr 11. A. Gwynne were the only survivors of those attending the foundation meeting. Major Astor was re-elected president and the South African programme was approved.
