South Island Tourney Concluded. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, January 10. The South Island croquet championship meeting concluded to-day. The championship doubles was won bv W. Kirk and Mrs Kirk, with Mesdames Corbet and Buchler runners-up. Handicap Doubles—Mesdames J. T. Wilson and M’Leod. Mesdames Horn and Dixon runners-up. Handicap Singles—W. Kirk. Miss Bremner runner-up. The M’Creath Cup for the open championship was presented to M*’ s Palmer and the New Zealand Council s trophy for the women's championship to Mrs Teller. North Island Finals. Per Press Association. WANGANUI, January 10. The North Island croquet championship finals will be played to-morrow. The women’s championship final is between Mrs Pitcaithly and Mrs Watkins: the open championship between A. J. Gibbs and Mrs Pitcaithly; the championship doubles between A. J. Gibbs and Mrs Gibbs and Mesdames Gambrill and Pitcaithly.
