MANSE ENTERED.

Minister Away in North Island. Thieves broke into the Presbyterian manse of St David’s Church, Colombo Street, last night, while the minister, the Rev L. Rogers, was absent in the North Island. Officers of the church this morning inspected the house with the police, but, although papers were found scattered over the study floor, it did not appear that anything had been stolen. There can be no certainty of that, however, until the return to Christchurch of Mr Rogers.
