Argument.—The Matoaka’s last arrival in Lyttelton was February 8, 1869. She left Lyttelton on May 13, 1869. and was never heard of again. It was thought that she had been lost* among icebergs. M.Q. asks if it would be legal in a restaurant to have a lucky table at which no charge would be made.—No. As the customer would not have to use any skill to pick the lucky table, the practice would be classed as a lottery by the police, and would be illegal.
