ANGORA WOOL.
Success of Marketing Scheme. A meeting of the general executive of the New Zealand Angora Wool Producers* Federation (Inc.) was held in the club rooms. Mr W. G. Wright presided over a large attendance. Mr Wright reported that tinder the Federation's official marketing scheme for Angora wool the exports for 193 4 showed an increase of over 40 per cent on the total amount of wool exported for 1933. The market for Angora was improving and indications were that it would continue to do so. He stressed the fact that during the past three years there had been a decided increase in exports under this scheme; each year showing that the industry was now firmly established and continuing to progress. Mr Wright drew the attention of members to the fact that the present requirements of the mills were mostly for second-grade Angora and that breeders were producing considerably more third-grade instead of concentrating on the mills’ requirements. The chairman was requested to prepare a survey of the past, present and future conditions and possibilities of marketing Angora wool for New Zealand producers. '
