Turnbull’s powerful service paved the way for dashing net attacks. which won him many points. Boussus’ game seemed weak after Turnbull’s hurricane tactics. Miss Round, who was out of touch yesterday, warmed up to-day after a poor start, though the Victorian girl extended her throughout the first set. After that Aliss Round played forceful tennis, leaving little doubt of the ultimate result. Quist was kept busy by Hopman in the early sets, but won eventually,, when Hopman was a spent force.
