A great deal of interest is being taken by cyclists in the roller racing to be staged at the Hippodrome, New Brighton, in connection with the carnival, starting to-morrow. The white butterfly has been report eel in Central and South New Brighton T hree specimens were seen vesterdav in Keppel Street; one was killed, but Oie other two eluded capture. These butterflies are an added menace as gardens in New Brighton present a very woebegone appearance at present. 1 he dry spell of the past few months has withered most of the flowers.
