ST JOHN CADET CAMP.
Thirty St John Ambulance cadets, who have been in camp in the Ashburton riverbed, about three miles from Ashburton, since Boxing Day. have returned to the city. The boys received training in general camp work, camp hygiene and first aid. The camp was under the supervision of Mr E. B. Gilberd, assisted by Mr H. Poore. As a result of tests carried out in camp the following certificates were awarded: Camping Certificates—B. Ainger, C. Baldwin, 1... Thompson, D. Cowan, K. Miles, V. Newman, W. Whitmore, P. Mummery, A. Mummery, J. Stapleton, B. Kirby. C. Wise, S. Hogwood, J. Shirrock, B. Twiss, M. Lnwdon, T. Bradley, G. Twiss, N. de Roo. R. Heaton, G. Hart, C. Hill, J. Loftus, P. Shannahan and B. Buckley. Cooking Certificates—L. Thompson, B. Ainger, W. Whitmore, T. Bradley, C. Hill, D. Cowens, V. Newman and K. Miles. The examinations in camp hygiene have not yet been completed.
