Man Ran Organised Betting House. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, January 2. “This is an organised betting house, ’* said Mr Wvvern Wilson, S.M., in the Police Court when Stanley Thomson, aged thirty-two, a commission agent, admitted a charge .of using premises as a common gaming house. Detectives executed a search warrant on the premises on New Year’s Day. They found that accused had laid 284 doubles during the Auckland meeting and had taken £9l. He was a member of the Bookmakers’ Association, and was in the habit of printing his own doubles charts. Accused was fined £SO, in de* fault one month’s imprisonment.
