VARSITY RUGBY.
Cambridge Favoured for Big Match. (Special to the - Star.”) LONDON, October 25. Having now seen both the Univer- ' sity Rugger sides in action, I am fairly J certain, bar accidents to players, we ; shall see a great game between the two ; at Twickenham. | Both sides have real potentialities. | though at present still rather ragged and not yet welded into a team. This time, however, 1 think my modest half-crown must go on Cambridge. Not only have they seven Old Blues available for the pack, most of them hefty fellows and fast :'r. the loose, and one, Rees, a Welsh international, but they have great potentiality behind the scrum. With Jones as fly-half* and the Welsh and Scottish internationals. Wooller and Fyfe. as one wing of the three-quarter-line. Cambridge should develop into a match-winning team. They have already beaten the then undefeated Harlequins, though this triumph ! was a trifle lucky. I The Oxford team needs more care- ' ful building, but has several outstanding players, and might train on into j something formidable, too. So we I ought to have a real dog-fight on De- | cember 11.
