FRUIT VERY CHEAP.
Apple Prices Only Half Last Season’s Rates. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND. This Day. It is believed that apples have never been sold more cheaply in New Zealand than at the city markets to-day. Prices were only half those usually ruling at this time of the year. Delicious sold at 2s to 4s. Sturmer 2s to 4s 6d, and Dougherty 2s to 3s per case. The tomato market collapsed, the best hothouse products selling at 4d per lb.
