AFFILIATION ORDER.

F armer’s Appeal is Dismissed. An affiliation order made against John Drury* Stubbs, a farmer, of Rakaia, by Mr H. A. Young, S.M., at Leeston on October 31 last was the subject of an appeal in the Supreme Court yesterday*, before Mr Justice Johnston. Mr Thomas, with him Mr Lee. appeared for appellant, while the mother of the child, a Leeston woman, was represented by Mr Ly*ons. After hearing the evidence his Honor dismissed the appeal. After counsel had addressed the Court his Honor gave his decision. He said that appellant had brought suspicions on himself. lie had no doubt that the decision of the Magistrate was right and that Stubbs was the father of complainant’s child. The appeal would be dismissed with costs, ten guineas, and disbursements against appellant.
