NEW BRIGHTON.

Ten Races in Programme To-morrow. PROSPECTS DISCUSSED. There is every prospect of the summer meeting of the New Brighton Trotting Club being a big success. Splendid field swill assemble for each event, and a number of very promising pacers and trotters are engaged. The course has never been in better order, and the grounds and appointments are spick and span for the gathering. Noon. TRIAL HANDICAP, of 110 sovs. Unhoppled trotters. Class 3.49. One mile and a half. rlrst Division.

The Trial Handicap will be run in two divisions. It is for unhoppled trotters only. Princess Onyx and Walter Wrack should dispute favouritism for the first division. J. 2.15 p.m.

Presentation scr Header * 84 For the second division, Bitter Sweet and Renegade should command most respect. 12.55 p.m. IMPROVERS’ HANDICAP, of 110 sovs. Class 3.43. One mile and a half.

The Improvers’ Handicap will also be run in two divisions. Repeal has only to be back to form to keep the opposition busy in the first division, but he may be in need of a race. Our Fay has been shaping well in her track work, and Doris Derby must have a chance also. 1.10 p.m.

In the second division Rongomai should go well, and Sans Peur is a likely sort. 1.55 p.m.

On her November form at Addington, Real Burton should head the market for the Mace Memorial Handicap. She is a reliable mare and is at home on a grass course. Betty Wrack is at the top of her form and can be relied .upon to make a bold showing. Of the others. Little Nelson should be preferred by backers.

Black Shadow exhibited improved form at Forbury and will have to be considered for the Wainoni Handicap. Paragon, Midshipmaid, Vanity Fair, Rewai, Grace M’Elwvn and Iraq are possibilities. It will be a hard race to win, but when the totalisator is balanced Black Shadow, Iraq and Grace M’Elwyn will be well supported. 3.15 p.m. BOWHILL HANDICAP, of 130 sovs. Class 2.55. One mile and a Quarter.

Gamble will go out a hot favourite for the Bowhill Handicap, and on his showing in the New Zealand Derby Stakes he will be difficult to beat, Guymond worked well at Addington .on Thursday, and Marie Celeste and Recess are capable of improvement. Gamble will keep Recess and Marie Celeste busy. 3.55 p.m.

Several very promising horses will contest the Saltaire Handicap. Bide-a-wee is very well, so is Gay Sister. Blondie will be all the better for his trip to Forbury. Peter Mitchell won well at Greymouth in October, and vSubsidy pleased his followers in the New Zealand Derby Stakes. Golden Cross is in form, and General Wrack, Greenmantle and Guy Junior will be knocking at the door. Dundee may be best suited by a big mile course. In what should be a good betting race, Gay Sister, Dundee and Greenmantle should be conspicuous. 4.35 p.m. NEW BRIGHTON HANDICAP, of 150 sovs. .Unhoppled trotters. Class 4.55.

1 commend her to speculators for the I New Brighton Handicap, but whether Ishe can beat Welcome Guy is a moot point. Then on the limit is Sandy N. He has shown that he is a good stayer,

and he is fairly reliable, so when the crowd become excited Sandy X Wei come Guy and Kotinga should be prominent.

S * If Real Burton is reserved for the 8 Electric Handicap she will have plenty S of friends. Great Antrim is a good horse, and his recent form has been 1 good. Rey Spec, from 24yds, should 2 offer stout resistance also. Then r there are Willow Wave, Elvo, Morning t Sun and War Boat. In all probability- . Great Antrim, Rey Spec and War Boat -, will be the popular selections.
