A garden party will be held to-mor-row by the St James Ladies’ Guild in the beautiful grounds of Mrs G. Hampton Rhodes, Riccarton Road. The Boys’ High School band will be in attendance, and Miss Manhire’s pupils will entertain. There will be competitions, games and refreshments. The British Unknown Warrior is a soldier of British citizenship, though of what part of the Empire is not known. The French Unknown Warrior was a Frenchman. They were taken from the buried dead of the two allied armies. X’either of them can be an enemy soldier.
