Returns of the Bank of England for the week ended December 5 are as folGold and silver coin, £194,928,304, compared with £194,909,505 a week ago, and £194.280,806 a year ago. The reserve in notes and coin i s £67,261,380 compared with £72,994,057 last week, and £76,894,307 last year. The proportion of reserves to liabilities is 43.70 compared with 4 7.10 a week ago, and 48.30 a year ago. The circulation is £385.4 47.319, compared with £379,656,948 last week. Issue Department.
