The Works Committee of the City Council stated last evening that, following a request at the last meeting of the council that consideration he given t:> the question of tar-sealing Carnarvon Street, the committee now deseed to report that this street was reconstrticted recently, and had not yet settled sufficiently to be ready for tarsealing. The matter had therefore been held over in the meantime.
