General Goering Says: “We Are a Power Again.” United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. BERLIN, December 3. General Hermann Goering (Minister for Aviation) was cheered by 30,000 people at Essen, where he made a speech demanding equality in armaments for Germany. “ Only he w-ho has a sharp sword at his side has quiet peace,” said the Minister. “ When one is defenceless others are tempted to attack, but when one is able to defend oneself peace is certain. The political leaders of the world now recognise that they cannot carry out their policies without consulting ’Germany and they know it is no longer possible to march on Berlin. “We are a power again, no longer ! a people ready for cowardly surrender and pacifist ideas.”
