“HYMN OF PRAISE.”
Performance by Combined Presbyterian Choirs. In commemoration of the seventieth anniversary of the Presbytery of Christchurch, the combined Presbyterian Church choirs will sing Mendelssohn’s “Hymn of Praise” (Lobgesang) in St Paul’s Church next Wednesday evening, under the conductorship of Mr Arthur Lilly. Mr R. E. Lake will he the organist, and the following choirs will take part: St Andrew’s, St Paul’s, Knox, St Giles’s, St Ninian’s, St George’s, St Peter’s, St Albans, St David’s, St Martins, St Enoch's. Shirlev-Richmond, Belfast-Stvx, Spreydon and Cashmere Hills. The soloists will he Mr Ernest Rogers (tenor) and Miss Marjorie Crouch (soprano). The duet, “ I Waited for the Lord,” will be sung by Miss Jeanne Grant and Miss Augusta Painter.
