FERVENT CHEERS.
Princess Marina Enters Church. SPECTATORS’ ENTHUSIASM. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received November 30, 11.30 a.m.) LONDON. November 29. If the enthusiasm greeting their Majesties had been fervent when they left the Palace, the cheers welcoming the bride eclipsed anything London had heard since the Duchess of York was married. After the King’s carriage had passed St James’s Palace, the bridegroom’s coach came out of Marlborough Gate. The Duke of Kent sat with his back to the horses, faced by the Prince of Wales and the Duke of York. Two minutes later the supreme moment for the crowd arrived. This was the appearance of Princess Marina. The slight drizzle ceased just before Princess Marina left the palace. Princess Marina waved her gloved hand and smiled again and again. The spectators’ hats were thrown in the air and people shouted themselves hoarse | with delight. The Princess passed from the view of the crowds round the Palace amid a sea of fluttering handkerchiefs and flags that stretched to the misty distances of the Mall. Under the blue and white awning at the Abbey door Princess Marina paused for a few moments to make sure that her train was hanging properly, slightly readjusted her veil and then entered the Abbey on her father’s arm. After the service the Duke and Duchess of Kent departed in the Duke's coach at a slow trot. Their Majesties, the Prince of Wales and others arrived at the palace twenty minutes before the Duke and Duchess of Kent.
