MEN SEVERELY SCALDED.

Per Press Association. INVERCARGILL, November 29. While working in the engine-room of the Federal steamer, Norfolk, at Bluff to-day, two young men, James Donald Rcfes (twenty-six), an engineer, a native of Scotland, and Ernest Veen (twentyone), a greaser, were severely scalded from the thighs down by a sudden escape of steam. They were uncovering a pipe when it burst. The injured men were conveyed to the Southland Hospital, where they are reported to be progressing.
