Cricket Incidents.

There were many incidents, good and not so good, in Saturday’s cricket matches in Auckland. In the women’s cricket at Remuera one of the Bridden’s bowlers, Miss Dawson, bowled a remarkable over which included the hat trick. She got three wickets running with her second, third and fourth balls. The fifth ball also hit the stumps, but was a no-ball, and the sixth also got a wicket. Playing in a third grade match for Turners and Growers at Walker Park. W. Young took seven wickets for 28 runs, and followed this up by hitting up 31 runs off one over of eight balls. His hectic hitting over included two sixes and four fours. An incident of a different character occurred at the Domain, where an umpire in a junior match was hit on the head b>' a hard-hit ball and retired from duty for the day. 1
